GOVENANCE CHARTER .

BartMeph is an independent, charitable organisation, established in Australia in 2015. It now also operates in Developing Countries , Africa  as well as in remote Indigenous communities in Australia.

Inspired by a philanthropist , BartMeph work with people with disabilities with a vision to create a world of inclusion and opportunities for people with disabilities through innovative equipment solutions, education, training and employment.

BartMeph is constituted as an unlisted public company limited by guarantee under Australian law. It is a, not-for-profit, non-government organisation. It is governed by the relevant provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 and its own Constitution adopted by the members in 2015, as subsequently amended.

 

BartMeph is also registered as a charity with the Australian Not-for-profit Charities Commission and must meet its requirements including certain governance standards, and is also registered for fundraising purposes with State and Territory authorities.

 

Internationally, BartMeph is registered in local operating jurisdictions through the use of the locally established but
globally aligned BartMeph  Entities to establish a network of synergy and as required by law

Purpose 

BartMeph  is committed to ensuring good governance is embedded in its corporate culture. This Charter sets out the principles and practices that the Board directors of BartMeph will uphold and implement to fulfil the public trust vested in them to fulfil our vision
